14th May '09: CYC receives UNESCO prize of appreciation

The CYC was one of 10 Lebanese and Palestinian NGO's who received on the 14th of May a prize from the UNESCO Org. of appreciation to the education, culture role and creative activities with the children and the social community.

There was a big celebration at UNESCO building where they organize a special celebration... CYC was the only Palestinian association who receive the Certificate and the prize from the UNESCO...

I told the CYC youth that its first fruit of the work and efforts we all have paid during the last years.. This prize is just a moral support but it add more challenges... It has brought new responsibilities to keep on and forward... We can't forget that each of you has part of what CYC has achieved, Thanks to Unesco and thanks for all of you too. because we do believe CYC alone wasn't able to do all what has been done... We are happy to see somebody appreciating our work, but we should not forget that the children and youth and all the poor Palestinian and Lebanese and everybody in Shatila camp and other camps and all the poor locations in Lebanon and everywhere else still are suffering and still need more efforts and raising higher voice for better life with freedom and peace... We have to see that even the Bob couldn't find place to pray in Occupied Palestine without the discrimination wall appearing behind him... We have to remember that the children in Gaza still dying as a victim of the Israeli and Egyptian siege where they can't reach to good health protection... The story of the pain is still long, but we all should do our best hand in hand to make it shorter... Again, Thanks to all
